Since the 1960’s Colmar has been producing a wide range of machines for the construction and maintenance of railway infrastructures. Colmar’s wide range of products includes Rail / Road Loaders, Shunters with Diesel engine or battery operated and many machines or systems designed for companies in the field of rail infrastructure maintenance.

Colmar’s machines are supplied to and are operated at state-owned railway companies, and at private companies all over the world.

To satisfy the needs associated to the construction and maintenance of railway lines, Colmar has proposed innovative solutions, for instance, an exceptional way to transport ballast, “STI 20”, that considerably allows the reduction of working times, of the loss of ballast, of maintenance and investment costs, as the system can be installed on standard flat wagons.

A new transport system of ballast, “MODULO 30 and MODULO 40”, coming from the bed cleaning machines, with the possibility, at the same time, to feed the bed cleaning machine itself, by using the same railway convoy, optimizing the productivity and halving working times. This system is also installed on standard fiat wagons.

Equipment for the transportation and automatic unloading of  rails, both rear and lateral, and a special clamp for consecutive discharging them from the wagons, thus allowing non-stop operation and a considerable reduction in working times, simultaneously increasing operator safety.
